Prabhu Deva keen in prequel of Rowdy Rathore

Even SS Rajamouli did not see that Vikramarkudu had it in potential for a prequel. Now remade as Rowdy Rathore, Vikramarkudu is an idea that is going to be unfleshed by a resurgent, South-struck Bollywood.

Yes, there is going to be a prequel to Rowdy Rathore. Rumours are that UTV is considering the idea to bring in part two of the film, however, it will be a prequel instead. According to sources, the new version, which alleged to be titled 'Don't Angry Me', will revolve around the early part of Vikram Rathore's life, his wife's demise and his posting in the village.

Prabhudheva, who helmed the first one, will again take over the directorial reins of Rowdy Rathore 2, but only after he finishes Shahid Kapoor starrer 'Namak'.

On the other hand, the lead cast Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha are also busy with other projects as of now and so the prequel is said to go on floors next year.

Prequels are not commonplace in India. By making a prequel to Billa, Kollywood has opened a new vista. Bollywood is just aping the idea.
