Twins for Salman

After several changes and going back & forth between thedirector and Salman Khan, the sequelto the famous comedy Judwaa is setto come up. The actor has given his nod to team up once again with director David Dhawan & producerSajid Nadiawala for thesequel to the twin-comedy only after he was completely convinced with thescript. He is finally ready to play the rowdy Raja and the soft romantic Premin the film.

David’s team had come up with several ideas across the yearsbut none of them had appealed to Salman. Finally David has come up with an ideathat the team feels worth pursuing.

Sajid Nadiawala says “We'vebeen going back and forth with David on the story of Judwaaa's sequel foryears. Since Judwaaa released there have been innumerable films about twins and their adventures, so films about twin heroes had become stale. Before making Judwaaa2 we first had to make sure the plot not only went further than the first Judwaaa but also goes beyond all the other double-role films that have come lately.”

“We've gone back to the story board repeatedly to ensure Judwaaa has very high novelty value. David is working on giving Salman's character a special new spin. We'll give the twoSalmans a very different look and the story moves ten years ahead but Salman isstill as boyish as he used to be” adds the producer.

Coming to the leading ladies of the film, neither Karishmanor Rambha would be seen making an appearance in the sequel to the 1997 hit Judwaa.Though Karishma’s younger sis, Kareena Kapoor is being considered for one of the roles.

The original film was about a pair of twins who get separated at birth. Both of them, turn out to be opposites in character having grown up in two different worlds culturally and financially too. The story revolves around the switch and the confusion that keeps happening between the brothersuntil they finally figure out the truth about their separation and bringjustice. The film also featured the famous songs by Anu Malik of which ‘Oonchi hai building, lift teri bandh hai..’is still unforgettable.

Well, we hope the makersalso find the twin to the success that the original had shown.
